Article Writing | How To Separate Facts From Opinions
Topics: article writing, article writing tips, facts from opinions, internet marketing
Often people in our daily lives mix up facts and opinions. It’s not that we cannot decipher which is which if we were to stop a moment and think about it. What happens is sometimes our opinions become so much a part of our belief that we adopt them as facts.
This becomes an interesting territory when one has to sit down and write an article. Many take personal experiences and turn them into facts. In this article you will learn how to separate facts from opinions in you article marketing.
First we will start with some easy facts and opinions… The moon revolves around the Earth and the Earth revolves around the sun are scientifically proven facts. If you think that chocolate is delicious and spicy food rocks those are simply your opinions. It is pretty clear in these examples what is opinion and what is fact.
Now let’s talk about the more gray areas. This is something that easily happens in Internet Marketing and the make money online arenas. You decide to write an article about traffic generation methods that are working for you. You write about how article marketing and video marketing are the best ways to generate traffic. You present it as fact because your personal experience has led you to believe it is so. But is it?
What is needed to do article marketing successfully? The ability to write well, the ability to know goo keywords to include in your article, knowing your audience/niche, having a method to distribute the articles in various places, say a blog and article directories are all necessary. Then there is the capture page you send them to in your resource box and the sales letter behind that and then the product and the price. Same with video marketing except they will need a camera of some sorts or screen capture software and the ability to show or articulate their message, they still need to target their niche and keywords and where they send them to after the video will all be factors in their success.
The point is while there are many that are successful with video marketing and article marketing… There are just as many people that are not. So to make it face we could instead say, “Article and video marketing are very effective means of traffic generation for some but not for everyone.” That is something that has been proven; now we have fact rather than opinion.
So the moral of this article is, be careful of the gray areas of fact vs. opinion in your article writing and any other marketing you use as well. Remember, just because something has worked or been accomplished in your life does not mean it is indeed fact.
